Portraits for a cause

The cause

For several years Dantone Creative has worked alongside Main St., a local organization supporting women affected by breast cancer throughout Bucks County.

The campaign

Each year in Newtown, 12 men step forward and compete to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. Joe photographs each of them inside the local businesses and sponsors that back them, creating portraits that are fun, unexpected and full of personality. Humor, confidence and a little vulnerability, all in one frame.

The calendar

Those images become a calendar sold throughout town, adding another way to raise money for the charity. More than a set of photos, it is a picture of a community showing up for one another.

This is what photography can do when it goes beyond visuals: tell stories, build connection and help make an impact where it matters.
